He has over 35 years of rich global experience spanning multiple areas in the value chain. He is an accomplished IT professional with extensive exposure to consulting, outsourcing, leading and executing multi-million dollar client engagements. He was a part of Accenture India core leadership team early 2003 and played a key role in growing their strong IT presence in India. He has also held senior positions in Bank of America, helping its consolidation as an India IT delivery arm, in addition to managing outsourced work to top tier pure play Indian companies.
He has had the life time opportunity to work with a great leader, mentor, coach and ex-President of India, Bharat Ratna Late Sri Dr APJ Abdul Kalam during his formative years as a Rocket Scientist. A decade long association and learnings from the master himself has been the guiding light throughout his long career. He has an MTech in Computer Science from IIT Powai and a BTech (Hons) in Aeronautical Eng. from IIT Kharagpur.
Dr Uma Warrier is an academician and psychological counselor with over 25 years of experience in the field of education and IT industry. Her rich experience spans across multiple areas in the value chain: Teaching, Research, Counselling, Training and Consulting. She is UGC Net certified, a SHRM Senior certified professional and a certified psychometrician for 15 FQ+.
She is currently the Professor in HRM and Industrial Psychology at CMS BSchool, Jain (Deemed to be) University, Bangalore. She is also the Chief Counselor for the Jain Group of Institutions. She has conceived and institutionalized “Vishwas”, Jain university’s student guidance and counselling center, consisting of a group of psychologists that cater to the mental well-being of the needy. A consulting counselor for IT companies, she uses her well-rounded domain expertise and interpersonal skills to improve employee efficiency at work by addressing and mitigating personal and organizational stressors. She conducts psycho-educative sessions on a need basis for students, parents, corporate employees, and teachers. She participates in several panel discussions organized by national T.V. channels (TV 9, News 9, India Today) in mental health areas from time to time. She is also associated with NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences) on youth mental health and awareness.
Dr Uma Warrier earned her PhD from VTU ( Visveswaraya Technological University) and her doctoral research was in the area of Emotional Intelligence. She has a double master’s in HRM and Industrial Psychology.
